Use BadgeThis excellent 4-star Lion Hotel Borovets is set 1.2 km from Gondola Lift and 1.4 km from Borovets Ski Resort. The Borovets resort has a heated pool as well as a nightclub, an indoor swimming pool and a heated swimming pool.

The location was stunning and the reception staff were courteous! A terrace was the best part. We loved to chill in the nearby wine & bbq restaurant.

Peaceful location but a 10 minute walk into the resort.

We stayed in the Hotel for 9 days, and we had 4 rooms - 2 regular rooms and 2 studio. the good things is the low cost and the nice location of the hotel. The swimming pool was good as well.
I didnt like the staff, I made ther reservation in EUR but they wanted me to pay for the rooms in BGL in a hight rait. Ther was cockroach in 3 of our rooms, in one of the studios the door to the bathroom was broken, the table was broken. In the other room, was a problem with the hot water. Their is no WIFI in the rroms, and no cable TV. In the last day one of the children broke a glass in the room and the hotel wanted us to pay for it, when i went and brouth them a new one just the same for 1/5 a price they claimed that hte glass were broken 5 days ago and its all redy in the computerso we have to pay. If you are looking for a 3 stars hotel ( defenetly not 4 )in low cost its ok but not more

Room was spatious, clean and cosy. It had a wonderful mountain view. Food from the menu was deliciously prepared and every meal was a feast by itself. Buffet table for breakfast was good, but it was always basically the same dishes (which can get tiresome after a while). Staff was very friendly and efficient. We also liked the pool - warm water, nice view and an interesting shape of the pool itself. The location of the hotel is also pretty good (for us at least), because it is secluded but no more than 15 minutes walk from the center. In the winter there is a shuttle bus every 20 min. Or so, going to and from the center. All in all we had wonderful time there.
Buffet breakfast had basically the same dishes every day. Also, the room walls are not very soundproof, but that's not a big problem unless you have very noisy neighbors.

Clean, warm throught the whole day and cozy, especially the area around the fireplace on the ground floor.
The breakfast was good. However it can differ a little bit from day to day. The juices (orange-apple) must be improved. But that is the case in other 4star hotels in Bulgaria. Small details that can make the difference...

There was mold in the room. The towels and the sheets were not very clean and had stains.

We had a problem when we come to check out. They wanted us to pay somebody elses bill despite us telling them it wasn't in our name. Since we returned we have found that what they charged us for our stay was £200 more than was quoted by Booked.net and we have contacted Booked.net and await this being resolved
